Those days are a lot about what it means to be a woman. Does one have to be a self-confessed feminist (and with self-confessed we basically mean striking prints, Pink Pussy Hats or „Girl Power“ hashtags)? Does one have to take part in public discussions on body shapes? Does one have to make social media posts about menstruation? Or to stubbornly pursue a career? To be a mum? Or ideally all at once?

The idea behind the fair-fashion label WOMOM is that there is no need in defining what it means to be a strong woman. Although the the brand is inspired by mum-life, it equally emphasizes the thought that one is not more or less of a woman if she is not having a child. We love the perky and fresh approach to motherhood and the feministic twist the label implicits – but not in an hashtag-overloaded-out-dated kind of way but in a self-mocking, modern and, thus, very strong one. The three mothers behind WOMOM – Annette Granados Hughes, Kerstin Rothkopf and Tatjana Peco – are the best proof that even in an age which seems to be defined by sincere discussions about the role of women, it’s always worth it to take one step backwards and to reflect on what really unifies all of us women: A bold character, the course of nature, love and, above all, fun.

We love it!
