Getting to know a city is almost the same process as getting to know a new friend better – in other words: In the course of time you’ll discover a lot of things you love and a lot of idiosyncrasies that drive you crazy, like being unreliable or supermarkets closing at 8pm. About the latter one, one can do nothing but accept it, but the things one loves about a city can be shared with others. That’s why we will from now on present you our favorite places here in Munich – meaning that every few weeks, we’ll reveal another BEAN’s favorite spots! Let’s start with Laura: She loves having Weißwurst at the Karl Valentin Museums-restaurant, sitting on a barstool at the bar „Cabane“, being with her parents at their kitchen table, enjoying the sun in the grass in front of the Pinakotheken, having a beer at the Viktualienmarkt, being in front of the jukebox at „bei Otto“, relaxing in the deck chair on her balcony, riding a bike along the Isar, tobogganing on the Massmanbergerl or chatting with friends on our Bean Store bench in summer. That sounds like a lot of things to put on our to-do-lists, but let’s just trust her that it’ll be worth it. Maybe we’d better wait with the tobogganing thing until next winter though… but then again, those last days of April and May always seem good for a surprise!
